These salamanders can grow up to 7in to 1ft. They also are related or resemble to komodo dragons.They will lay their eggs in shallow pools and even farm ponds. They are often found far away from woods or water during early spring migrations, but they are found in farms, prairies, wet woods near water. They hibernate underground common throughout western half of region, becoming more frequent westward in the great lakes states. They like to eat small invertabrates such as insects and worms.
